A Festive Celebration

Vancouver Island Chapter PNA Christmas Luncheon
The weather outside may have been a little frightful, but inside the Vancouver Island Chapter’s 2025 Christmas Luncheon was absolutely delightful!
More than 60 members gathered to celebrate the season, reconnect with colleagues, and share in a little CBC Christmas camaraderie.
The room was filled with familiar faces from all corners of the broadcaster’s legacy including reporters, producers, camera operators, technicians and more. It was a wonderful reminder of the diverse talent that has shaped CBC over the decades.
Chapter President Ken Golemba officially welcomed everyone with festive cheer before inviting members to enjoy a delicious Christmas buffet that set the tone for a truly celebratory afternoon.
After lunch, John Mang, BC Chapter Co-President, delivered an informative update on key initiatives underway at the National Board. Members heard about progress in the Engagement, Bylaws, Membership, EDI, and Advocacy committees working diligently on behalf of Canada’s CBC retirees. His remarks highlighted the energy and commitment guiding the PNA into the New Year.
Sue Wood, VI Chapter board member and member of the National Communications Committee, shared exciting developments on the communications front, including the renewed PNA brand and visual identity, the upcoming new national website, and plans to strengthen the PNA’s social media presence.
Of course, no holiday gathering is complete without presents! The festive door prize draw delivered smiles all around with lucky winners going home with wine, symphony tickets, gift baskets, gift certificates and more.
The 2025 VI Chapter Christmas Luncheon was a heart-warming afternoon of connection, celebration and community
Here’s to an inspired and connected 2026 for all our PNA members!
Regional Co-President John Mang welcomes everyone to the December 9th, 2025 Christmas luncheon at the Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria.
