"IT'S IMMORAL TO LET A SUCKER KEEP HIS MONEY" (posted May 30, 2026)
This famous quote is attributed to the 19th century professional gambler and riverboat card shark, Canada Bill Jones (whose real name was William Canada Jones).
The phrase is often associated with his cynical, grifter worldview that if someone is foolish enough to be deceived, it is practically a crime not to take advantage of them.
Sadly, "Suckers" have always been easy marks for con-artists, manipulators and scammers. Vultures, who wait for others to be in a weakened state before swooping in to take what they have.
Mr. Jones' quote can serve us as a prescient warning. Today's "hustler" (the 21st century version of the old-time solo-card-shark) is a cybercriminal. The "Polymarket" is the main venue (the riverboat). The Polymarket, (where you can place a bet anytime on anything, the future, whatever) is well positioned to become "The Global Gambling Hub". Monthly "trading volume" (code for bets) is already over $20 Billion.
Regulators believe they can control it. Fat chance, it's like trying to control AI.
And as always, mere mortals should continue to keep a watchful eye on politicians, their incentives often differ from the public's interest.

Absolutely not, Monsieur, that would be absurd.

Then why do "we" allow it to happen again and again and again, always turning a blind eye?

How many Canadians of voting age are even vaguely aware that 'The Federation Internationale de Football Association' (FIFA)...is a "nonprofit" organization registered as a "charity" in Switzerland?
Umm, ahh, what was that? FIFA is a NONPROFIT CHARITY???
That's ABSURD!
Yup, and it's true!
And what's even more absurd, Canadian taxpayers are "on the hook" to "donate" BILLIONS+$ to a crooked charity.
Umm, ahh, ahh, "on the hook" to WHO for WHAT???
Taxpayers, are "contractually committed" to "donate" BILLIONS$ and BILLIONS$ to a corrupt charity!
But, but, splutter, Monsieur that's crazy!
Yup. And it's too late to splutter...the money is GONE.
How/Who/When did this skulduggery take place?
Several years ago, FIFA initiated a sophisticated campaign, targeting specific influential 'North American' politicians. U.S. president Trump was the primary target; a willing participant providing he shared in the spoils.
Taxpayers were purposely kept "uninformed". (Sacre bleu, encore)
FIFA con-artists, skilled in the "black arts" (deception, corruption, fraud, bribery) rely on psychological manipulation, exploiting deep-seated human emotions and cognitive biases to bypass critical thinking. "Greasing palms" helps overcome resistance and ensures secrecy.
The politicians who were "persuaded" (swallowed FIFA's sales pitch) committed their countries to "Host" (code) "You pay-for" the 2026 World Cup. One sided, iron-clad 'FIFA contracts' were quietly signed by government officials of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Contracts that "guarantee" FIFA will receive ("skim", up front and off the top) World Cup revenue, while incurring "ZERO" financial risk. NB: Any and all financial risk is underwritten by taxpayers (duped-victims "suckers").
Question time for "suckers"...
Why weren't Canada's taxpayers consulted in advance?
Billions$+ for 13 soccer games? Makes no sense. Ridiculous by any standard.
Were Canada's negotiators naive, incompetent, stupid or irresponsible? Who negotiated this? Where are they hiding. Why are they hiding? Who got paid off?
The result:
1) A corrupt charity walks away with an estimated $15 Billion+ windfall. (grand theft)
2) Canadian taxpayers blindly forced to pay "untold Billions$", i.e. all costs associated with "Hosting" six football games in Toronto and seven football games in Vancouver. (insane)
3) "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?":
What happened behind those closed doors stayed behind closed doors. (unacceptable)
The total capital + operating + security cost (federal + provincial + municipal) for the 13 FIFA football games, will never be disclosed. As per past practice (e.g.Olympics et al), the Canadian government never releases the final total cost. No accountability. (unacceptable)
The whole rotten deal smells of corruption. A World Cup being held in an unrestrained cesspool of GREED.
"The chickens are coming home to roost?": Federal, provincial and municipal politicians are finally being quizzed, and asked probing questions by reporters: e.g. "Justify the outrageous one-sided deal with FIFA that leaves taxpayers exposed for Billions$". "Why did you even consider making a deal with a corrupt charity?"
A few "sacrificial" ministers have been dragged, kicking and screaming, to face the camera's so far. They have dodged, ducked and obfuscated; trotted out the same line of "upside" bullshit that FIFA con-artists used to "sucker" their predecessors, those who did the dastardly deed. (Not good enough)
Those responsible for this fiasco must be forced to explain their actions at a televised public enquiry. (No more Zero-accountability, passing the buck)
With a slight modification/tweek to Canada Bill Jones' quote "If taxpayers, and those they elect, are foolish enough to be deceived, it's practically a crime not to take advantage of them".
The "moral" question: Whose fault is it? The politician(s)? The voter who elects them? Both?
The answer is wrapped inside an Oxymoron and a Conundrum:
Taxpayers pay 100% of all government spending (federal, provincial, municipal). Politicians make all the decisions on where to spend the taxpayers money. Yet, fewer than 50% of taxpayers bother to vote. Continuing to complain about political incompetence, waste, corruption etc. won't solve anything. (Mandatory voting might)

FIFA is a criminal enterprise disguised as a nonprofit charity.
Their pledge: "We use your charitable donations to promote world peace". (Feel better?)

The Godfather: President Gianni Infantino, Swiss-Italian lawyer, suave, multilingual. A King-like authoritarian leader with naked economic interests at play.
NB: Mr. Infantino took control of FIFA from the ousted Joseph Sepp Blatter, following the infamous dawn raid by FBI agents in Zurich during the 2015 FIFA Congress. A total of fourteen high-ranking FIFA officials were arrested in a grand-exposure of FIFA's alleged corruption.
The Underbosses: High-ranking FIFA officials who ride first class on the gravy train.
The Capos: Owners (billionaires) who employ the players.
The Made-Men: Millionaire athletes with dramatic acting skills (who can fake a dive). Their job is to run around a beautifully manicured field in short pants, trying to kick a ball past a multi-millionaire goal keeper.
The Peons: At the bottom of the pyramid. Workers who can't even afford the price of a ticket to a match in their own town, but who were "suckered" by politicians to pay for FIFA's party.
And when the world's most expensive party ends following the final match at the MetLife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, 2026:
The top scorer gets "the golden boot"
The best goal keeper is handed "the golden gloves"
The winning team lifts "The World Cup"
The "suckers" receive "The golden Tab"
As the sun sets over New York City, a private jet lifts off the runway heading East. Aboard is Gianni Infantino & entourage. The FIFA president quietly exits North America, returning to the safety and sanctuary of Charity-HQ. The Don is smiling as he recalls a note left behind with "The golden Tab".
"On behalf of FIFA and the members of my board, be comforted that your donation will assist in our quest to promote world peace. You have been gracious and generous hosts. A la prochaine, Gianni".
REMEMBER THE IMAGE THE NEXT TIME THEY COME CALLING
Billions$ and Billions$ were squandered on a crooked charity, while millions live pay check to pay check. Never forget how it felt to be kicked in the balls (pun intended) by politicians and cynical monsters who stuffed their pockets. All this for 13 bloody soccer games? We've been taken for fools! (Jail any politician who does this again)

The "punch-out" fits right in (taste-wise) with his self-proclaimed and world-renowned "expertise" in design and decor that converted "The People's House" into a trashy Baroque bordello.
The Emperor's adoring cabinet, White Evangelicals and White Supremacists hope he dresses for the occasion, perhaps as Jesus, or King Charles, the Pope, Caesar, or a simple country doctor healing his White flock.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Jeffrey Epstein's best-bud, the bat-shit nuts, cruel, lawless, uncontrollable, unpredictable, unhinged old man with a narcissistic God complex, is in charge.
